Witold (Vit) Henisz, Vice Dean and Faculty Director of the ESG Initiative will moderate a panel of industry professionals on ESG in the crosshairs. This event is hosted as a part of the Wharton Global Forum Singapore 2023. Hosted in regions around the world, Wharton Global Forums bring together leaders from business and government along with Wharton Faculty and alumni to explore the issues facing global business.

Panelists include:

  • Alp Ercil is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of ARCM, a Hong Kong based investment management business founded in 2011 to focus primarily on credit, commodity related investments and special situations. Prior to ARCM, Alp spent 10 years at Perry Capital where he was a member of the firm’s four person Management Committee. Alp joined Perry Capital after earning his MBA at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to attending Stanford, Alp was an associate at The Blackstone Group and an analyst at Deutsche Bank. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 with B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and a B.S. in Systems Engineering from The Moore School of Engineering. Alp is a member of the University of Pennsylvania’s Asia Leadership Committee and Undergraduate Financial Aid Leadership Council and a member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Trust. He has been a guest lecturer at the Wharton School of Business, Harvard Business School and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
  • Kamran Khan is Deutsche Bank’s Group-level Head of ESG in Asia Pacific. He heads Deutsche Bank’s ESG Centre of Excellence (COE) in Singapore – established in partnership with MAS. The COE works with coverage and product teams to engage clients and execute customized ESG transaction which meet global ESG standards while addressing the unique challenges in APAC. Kamran is a member of Deutsche Bank’s Global Sustainability Steering Committee. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2020, Mr. Khan founded and managed an impact fund focusing on infrastructure and Sustainable Development Goals. He was previously appointed by the Obama White House to serve as the head of global investments at the US Millennium Challenge Corporation, where he led a USD 1.5-2bn annual investment program globally with responsibility for returns as well as impact. Previously, he worked on M&A transactions and advisory mandates at JP Morgan and LEK. Mr. Khan has also held senior executive roles at the World Bank and the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
  • Ms. Jing Zhang is Executive Director at Trade & Working Capital at JPMorgan, supporting Financial Institution clients across Asia Pacific. She joined JP Morgan in 2008 through JP Morgan New York MBA summer internship then Management Associate Program and completed rotations across RM, sales and product functions before locating to Singapore in 2011. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Ms. Zhang was a Program Associate at the Points of Light Foundation in Washington, D.C. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Beijing Foreign Studies University and holds a MBA from the Wharton School and a MPA from Indiana University. She served as Executive Director of Alumni Affairs of Wharton Graduate Association, Wharton Women in Business Alumnae Relations Officer, and the Co-Chair of Wharton 2009 Class Gift Committee. The 2009 Class Gift Campaign achieved 93% participation rate despite the financial crisis. Ms. Zhang served as Co-MC of 2009 Wharton Beijing Global Forum and 2011 San Francisco Forum, and she is Co-Chair of Sponsorship Committee of 2020 Singapore Forum. She is Treasurer of Penn/Wharton Club of Singapore, sits on the Bankers Association for Finance and Trade Future Leaders Council, and is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.
